My name is Michael Newman, and I’m a tenured professor at Broward College in South Florida (Miami area), where I have taught for over 12 years. I have my master’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages and I’ve spent over 20 years teaching English both in the U.S. and abroad.
In that time, I’ve deconstructed the rules of the language to find the order and provide a structure that is simple to learn and implement.
In doing so, I have been able to help thousands of people find their voice by learning to speak confidently and powerfully, especially in their new language of choice, English.
Using another language will always present its own challenges, but with consistent effort and practice, you will tell your stories and build your dream.
I want to help you do that.
Through all my teaching and studies, I realized that learning English as a second language is unnecessarily complicated for so many who desire to master this skill and use their voice successfully in this new language.
My goal has always been to un-complicate the process and make it easier for non-native speakers to master their use of English.
As someone who loves to know why things are the way they are and how things work, I decided to write the principles and rules that just made sense to me. Students that love knowing how and why English is the way it is, love my teaching. Additionally, all my students have found that when they practice what I teach, they have dramatically increased their confidence and understandability when talking to the public, and to their colleagues in business or university.
I’ve decided to make my materials available to you, my amazing students of English who want to tell your stories and make your world a better place. My students have a great passion to share with the world and I’m on the same journey of making the world a better place.
